About The Hall
We have been ranking performers since 2012. Sometime in the past few years, we switched to ranking only active performers. Considering how quickly actors exit the industry, it’s clear we should take time to acknowledge those we once enjoyed once they’ve transitioned from life in front of the camera. The Min Festival Hall of Fame looks for those who have ended their career in the past 5 years and outlasted the three-year average for most stars.
Nominations
Performers can be nominated by readers annually. We will review the careers of each to determine the 5 best Black female, 3 Black males, and 3 non-Black women. We will also add up the freshmen classes of performers from 1995 through the current year.
Voting will be made public each December ahead of the January announcement of inductees: 2 Black women, 1 Black male, 1 non-Black female, and 1 freshman class.
